Adding an Inventory Item

What is your Inventory?

Add your products, services or things you charge your customers for to your Inventory. Any items you add into your inventory can be quickly added to an invoice - saving you time and hassle.

How to add an item to your Inventory?

There are two ways to begin adding a new Inventory Item:
  • Click on Create New + in the sidebar on the left side of the screen, then select Inventory Item.


 
  • Or, click on the Items & Services option and then select + Add Item in the top right.


1. Fill in the relevant fields with your Inventory Item details.
Item Code: This is a unique identifier for this Inventory Item. This will appear on the Invoices and relevant documents.
Item Description: Enter a short description of the item. This will appear on the Invoices and relevant documents. Note: When you’re sending an Invoice, you can search for Inventory Items by either the Item Code or the Item Description when you’re adding a new line item.
Sell Tax Code: Choose whether your Inventory Item has GST or is Non-GST.
Set Item Pricing: Choose from a Single Price or Price Per Customer Type.

2. Select Save & Close in the bottom right. If you need to create some similar items, you can choose to Save and Duplicate to create the copies needed.
